The Art Crawls were short lived rocket fuelled events in St Kilda. Kerry Pachouli and I presented and curated a great show of local artists in a venue next door to Cafe Di Stasio on Fitzroy St, St Kilda. By far and away the most popular in terms of visitor numbers, we ended up doing two consecutive shows. Most of the organisation was done in my studio at the Shakespeare Grove Artists Studios in Chaucer Street. Very local. I became a member of the SKAC executive committee but, like so many initiatives, there’s never enough funding to let them really grow and prosper.
